From the Great Falls Tribune, A man from Great FallsPatrick William O’Brien, was arraigned last Thursday via video for his part in the near insurrection on January 6th.  He took his son to DC to attend the event with him. He was charged in US District court in Washington for entering and remaining in a restricted building or grounds, disorderly and disruptive conduct in a restricted building or grounds and disorderly conduct in a Capitol building. Video shows the father and his son inside the Capitol building for 28 minutes waving a flag that said, "Don't Tread On Me".

The Hughes Brothers from Helena, unfortunately, some of the most recognizable from the riot, took part in the wanna-be insurrection on January 6, 2021 have been sentenced.

You can read it right from the US Attorney's office in Washington DC HERE

Jerod Hughes sentenced to 46 months in prison, just shy of 2 years.  His brother, Joshua will spend 38 months in prison, around a year and a half. In August '22 they both pled guilty to obstruction of an official proceeding. They were sentenced in November last year. Neither of them still have Facebook pages.

They were among the first seditionists in the capitol that day and were a part of the shameful group that were chasing and yelling at Capitol Police Officer Eugene Goodman.  This link from KPAX shows exactly who they are and shows them in the Capitol. The brothers were also some of the first rioters that entered the Senate Chamber.  They left the building shortly after doing all of that damage to America.

My question to you, is it enough?

Those found guilty of betraying America during the Civil War mostly ended up pardoned all in the name of rebuilding the country.  I also read where the powers thought that it would be too hard to take all of them to court AND they were convinced they wouldn't be able to convict any of them in the South. That all wrapped up in the fact that treason has a very high burden of proof.  And, I suppose it should.  That's a pretty serious charge.

I feel that if they all keep getting these light sentences, that the idea of overthrowing the American or State government every time their candidate loses, may become a thing. Just look at the wackadoodle who lost a House District race in New Mexico, and just got arrested for trying to kill his opponents.  In my opinion, he's no different than the traitors who were yelling "Hang Mike Pence" on January 6th.  Completely whack and completely unAmerican.
