Friday, November 24th, 2023. No matter who you are, no matter what you do, November 24 will officially be Christmas season.

While thousands will be out and about on the 24th to find the best deals on Christmas gifts, many of us will be hiding out at home trying to avoid the first of the Christmas crowds.  What movie will Montanans be watching the most to ring in the Christmas Season?

I did some very non-scientific research on this very subject.  I googled the top ranking Christmas movies in Montana for the past 2 years.  This is what I found we were watching the most the last couple of years:

In 2021, according to Wealthy Nickle, Montanans were watching the traditional Christmas movie, Die Hard starring the one and only Bruce Willis.  Look, it doesn't matter if YOU consider Die Hard a Christmas movie or not, your fellow Montanans do.

In 2022, according to Hidden Remote, Montanans were celebrating the holidays with the ultimate Christmas classic, Trading Places, with a star-studded cast including Eddie Murphy, Dan Akroyd and Jamie Lee Curtis.

While I highly approve of Montana's choices for Christmas movies, maybe something a bit more classic is on your mind.  My favorite new Christmas classics are on Netflix and they star Kurt Russel and Goldie Hawn.  Do try The Christmas Chronicles and Christmas Chronicles 2.  Both kids and adults in your house should just love these movies.  They are VERY well done.

Looking for something a little Christmassy and A LOT adulty?  How about Violent Night.  It stars David Harbour as Santa and is just violent enough to where it's an adult Christmas movie, when I say adult, I'd go PG-13, at least. I loved it.
