I Tried Chick-Fil-A For The First Time

On May 27, 2024, I had my first Chick-Fil-A chicken sandwich.

While it was a perfectly good chicken sandwich, I have to be honest with you.  I don't get the hype.

I got the chicken sandwich the way they recommend it, with cheese and pickles, and I got the Chick-Fil-A sauce. I wanted the whole experience that I hear about all the time.  What did I think?  I think its a good chicken sandwich, but it wasn't any better than one that you get at any other fast food place, like Wendy's or McDonald's, that has a pretty decent chicken sandwich.

Why Is Chick-Fil-A So Popular When It Seemed Pretty Average?

I looked that up, too.  I think I found out why their food is rated so high.  It's nearly everything BUT the food.

Southern Food Junkie has their 7 reasons why Chick-Fil-A is superior:

• The workers.  In the article, Southern Food Junkie talks about how nice and well-groomed the employees are.  I completely agree.  It's rare to have someone treat you as well as I was treated at Chick-Fil-A when you're doing the line for lunch at a fast food restaurants
• They get orders right. The author says they've never ever had an incorrect order from the franchise
• The employees care you're there.  Or, they're just really good at faking it.  It all comes back to hiring great employees and offering great training. I will say, they seemed genuinely excited to help me with my first ever order
• The restaurants are always clean. It's said you could probably eat off the floor in any Chick-Fil-A
• They have great food.  I will say again, it was good but it wasn't a transcendental moment for me like the commercials would lead you to believe.
• The sauce packets are big and they're free.  Agreed.  That is killer
• They have playgrounds for the kids. That is nice, but they're not exclusive with this.  Our McDonald's have playgrounds, too

All in all, pretty decent sandwich with great employees.  Are you a Chick-Fil-A fanatic? Let me know why here.
