In Montana, I may have found the mother of all garage sales:

The Bitterroot 50 Mile Garage Sale

WHAT?

You read that right, a 50 mile garage sale in the Bitterroot.  Talk about a treasure-filled road trip on some of the most beautiful land in the world.

This monster treasure hunt is scheduled June 28th and June 29th from 8am to 4pm. The garage sale is put together by a group of dedicated volunteers.  The money raised will be used to forward the event to the next season including marketing, maps and signs.

As they say on their website: "The journey is part of the adventure."

The sale runs from Lolo on the north end of the Bitterroot Valley to Darby at the southern end.  You'll see signs like this at participating locations:

Friends, family, and even pets all hit the road in search for treasure and treats.  There are all kinds of things to see a long the way, and plenty of yummy food as you hit each sale.

Don't be afraid to bring the kids, and make a day or weekend of it.  Just be sure to leave room in your rig for all the booty you'll be bringing home.  Imagine the fun you'll have and the things you'll find.
