It Appears There Is Something Like A Bomb At Gibson Park

A friend of mine was walking in Gibson Park today and came upon this scene:

What In The Pipe Bomb Is Happening In Great Falls?

Seriously, What IS HAPPENING? Thank god an adult found that and called the police immediately.

On the Great Falls Police Facebook Page, the police posted:

"At approximately 12:10pm today, 911 dispatchers received report of a suspicious item near the center of the south end of the park.

Investigating officers determined the item has characteristics of an explosive device and, out of an abundance of caution, we've requested the assistance of Malmstrom Air Force Base EOD squad.

Please stay away from the south part of Gibson Park, nearest Park Dr N and 1st Ave N, and follow instructions of emergency personnel at the scene. Thanks for your patience and cooperation as we work to ensure safety for everyone in the surrounding area."

Stay clear and give them room to work.
