Teen Arraigned In November Shooting Near Phoenix Apartments

Remember back on November 3, 2025  there was a shooting near the 10th Avenue South McDonalds, across from the Phoenix Apartments, that resulted in one youth hospitalized and 2 other juveniles arrested.

Juvenile Arraigned On Additional Charges Stemming From Shooting In November

The 13 year old that's been accused of shooting a 17 year old, has received additional charges related to the event.

The youth has been charged with:

• felony counts of attempted deliberate homicide
• tampering with evidence
• misdemeanor count of assault
• if convicted, the Cascade County Attorney's Office will go for a gang enhancement for the sentencing

The youth entered a plea of not guilty via Zoom to Judge Elizabeth Best. The juvenile is currently being detained at the Cascade County Juvenile Detention Center.

There's a hearing set for January 8, 2025 to figure out if he will be charged as a minor or an adult in the case.

The Juvenile Has A Record With Law Enforcement

The accused was arrested in October 2025 for disorderly conduct. He stated at that time that he was a member of a small local game. The youth even has gang related tattoos.

One of the youth involved was sent to Pine Hills juvenile detention in November.

Has The Victim Been Found To Belong To A Gang?

The detectives working the case said they have found nothing that would show the victim of the shooting to be involved with any gang related activity in and around Great Falls. Officers think they'd been targeting the victim for quite some time.
