A lot has been going on in Great Falls involving children. Just a day or 2 ago, 2 juveniles were taken into custody for shooting a 17 year old. And that's just this week.

So when I find out some freak show was threatening kids at West Elementary, it upsets me.

What Happened At West Elementary In Great Falls?

Basically, at around 2:30 on November 4th, a man was walking by West Elementary and told parents and staff he'd hurt the kids unless they quieted down. He then kept walking knowing full well he'd just poked the bear.

West Elementary went into a shelter-in-place until the police tracked him down.

He was charged with a misdemeanor.

There Are  A  Couple Of Problems Here

You go to a school and threaten kids, you should, AT LEAST, spend the night in jail. I mean COME ON. We know what happens to little kids in schools in America.

The police can't release his name or anything. I guess you need all the protection you can get when you go around threatening kids for being loud while playing outside.

Shouldn't he AT LEAST have to pay for disrupting West and being an all around jerk and bully to little kids? When you get a pat on the wrist for violent threats, what's going to stop you from doing it again?

Great Falls Has A Lot To Figure Out

Why aren't we protecting the children?

How are kids getting guns? Are we charging their parents with a crime? Seriously, the police know the 12 year old involved in the shooting from prior incidents. It's time to look at the parents, I'd think.

How can we just tell a guy, "Hey guy, you scared the little kiddos with bodily harm, so you're going to have to pay a fine (max $500 in Montana) and don't do that stuff again, ok guy?"

In the mean time, adults in Great Falls have to make it CLEAR we will not allow things like this to happen to the children.
