Montanans: Not All Out-Of-Staters Suck

Every once in a while humans make me smile, even out-of-staters.

The other day, in one of the Glacier National Park groups I'm in on Facebook showed this picture:

The author of the post, Kimberly Rutledge, posted this picture in hopes of tracking the couple down.

It Was Pure Kismet These Were Found

I had a chance to talk to Kimberly, and it really was just pure luck. Kimberly and her fiancé were biking the east entrance to Glacier National Park. They found one of the millions of great views, and decided to stop biking and walk down to see more of the view. When they got there, Kimberly saw these vow journals and they decided to make it their mission to find the couple who had left them.

It Only Took A Couple Of Hours To Find The Couple

Kimberly posted in the group Glacier National Park that she was looking for the couple. In just a couple of hours, a friend of the couple got in touch with the photographer who got in touch with Kimberly on how to find the couple.  Wow. Talk about a game of telephone.  As of today, the vow journals are already on their way home to Georgia.

Here's The Moral Of The Story, Montana

Kimberly Rutledge is from Tennessee. She's a traveling nurse that has been helping to save lives at Benefis in Great Falls for months. In fact, we only have this gem of a human under the big sky until October.

Kimberly and her fiancé are wonderful people that probably got a lot of grief from all of us stressed out Montanans. We need to be reminded that some people really ARE here because they dream of Montana the same way we dream of say, Rome.

Shame on us.
