Townsquare Media Is Very Digitally Savvy

Townsquare Media is, without a doubt, the most digitally savvy company I've worked for in my nearly 40 year radio career. I've honestly learned more from TSM about algorithms, websites, social media and more because of Townsquare.

TSM is a pretty good company to work for, except this one thing. And I'm venting about it today.

The Scam/Phishing Testing Policy Is Bonkers

I have to tell you about this because it's like they WANT me to fail. I swear. (This is me being a whiny baby boo boo. I'm not serious when I say they are singling me out above all others.)

So Townsquare sends out fake scam emails to test us. Just yesterday, a coworker and I were talking about how they were really ramping them up this week and it gets annoying. It honestly does seem to ramp up the phishing emails until they finally pop us.

So, they send phishing emails to see if we can spot them. I will go MONTHS without failing, then I get one of these in my work email:

Cool.

They end up getting me EVERY time with emails that are from my boss. I fall for it every single time.

So now, I have to stop everything I'm doing next week and take a class and a test so that I don't end up costing Townsquare Media hundreds of thousands of dollars.

It's not fair!

(Actually it's totally fair.)

I think I'm going to have to start popping all of Ron's emails as phishing. Or not.

Thank you for coming to my why is it always on a Friday Ted Talk. I have to run and take my class.

LOOK: Here Are 30 Foods That Are Poisonous to Dogs

To prepare yourself for a potential incident, always keep your vet's phone number handy, along with an after-hours clinic you can call in an emergency. The ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center also has a hotline you can call at (888) 426-4435 for advice.

Even with all of these resources, however, the best cure for food poisoning is preventing it in the first place. To give you an idea of what human foods can be dangerous, Stacker has put together a slideshow of 30 common foods to avoid. Take a look to see if there are any that surprise you.
