Texas Roadhouse Has Made Great Falls An Official Location

It's real and it's spectacular. The Electric is reporting that on Wednesday, December 4, 2024 Texas Roadhouse submitted a permit application to the city planning office in Great Falls.

The plan is to have the restaurant in front of the mall, where Fiesta En Jalisco used to be. According to The Electric, Texas Roadhouse wants to tear down the existing restaurant and build a new one in it's place.

To date, that's all that's known about Texas Roadhouse's location in Great Falls.

Texas Roadhouse's Arrival Has Been A Couple Of Crazy Years In The Making

Back in 2022, Holiday Village Mall negotiated a lease with Texas Roadhouse. Before they could move forward on that lease, mall businesses had to give their approval, including Ross Dress For Less. Due to the conflict between the mall and Ross, the Texas Roadhouse deal has been jammed up since 2022. The 2 businesses are still in litigation, and a court trial is set for December 2026.

A Staple In The Holiday Village Mall Is Closing In March

It's not all good news for the mall. According to The Electric, Leslie's Hallmark is closing when their lease expires in March, 2025. They've been in the mall for over 30 years.

Owner, David Simpkins said he's closing a location in Billings and one in Helena in January. Simpkins stated that lease expirations are great for setting retirement dates. He's been in the business for 45 years.
