I'm the daughter of a farmer and the niece and cousin of some ranchers. Today, I'd like to talk beef.

Now before we do that, this isn't a "shame on you article" or "you get what you voted for" article. I have to say that here because most of you who say that scan the first sentence or two before you dip out and call me names.

Anyway, beef from Argentina.

This is absolutely INSANE to me. I can't believe our government is so out of touch that it would import BEEF from over 6,000 miles away from Montana to "drive down prices" of American beef. I would have to drive maybe 10-15 miles to find Montana beef for sale from a Montana Rancher. And it's better than any meat from anywhere.

I'll be the first to admit that for 4 weeks in a row, I've shopped around for a good beef steak or good beef roast at a good price, and there is literally none to be found. It's the times we're living in.

The answer IS NOT driving Montana ranchers out of business. They don't set prices in stores.

This Attack On Ranchers Is On Top Of Tariffing Our Farmer's Out Of Business

So all the farmer's and ranchers growing exported goods like soybeans are in a panic because AGAIN Washington can't play the long game for s##t.

Or maybe, they just. don't. care.

Anyone who is honest with themselves can see that the people we have in Washington FOR MONTANA are doing nothing for us.

Hell, Sheehy is so NOT into what's going on here he didn't even KNOW the administration pulled a ton of funding from the billion dollar energy project in Montana. You can see that embarrassing interview and Sheehy's rebuttal here.

Steve Daines? I don't even know where to start when a Senator chooses to spend a July 4th in Russia and consistently ignores Montana's wishes.

Ryan Zinke? I'll give him a big thumbs up for sticking up for Montana in not supporting Public Land sales. His quote to the Daily Interlake:

It's a no now. It will be a no later. It will be a no forever

At least ONE of them sticks up for what we cherish.

Now, it's time to stick up for Montana's Farmers and Ranchers. This is ridiculous.
