New Film Highlights The History Of Montana’s Most Iconic Road
There's a documentary being made about what is arguably the most iconic drive in America, but for sure Montana. Just seeing a little bit of film on this, I'm super jacked. This girl loves Montana history.
Which road is it? Going-To-The-Sun or The Beartooth Highway?

A Documentary About The Going-To-The-Sun Road Is In It's Final Stages
Jordan and Logan Lefler Of Arlee have been working on the documentary since 2023. They've amassed over 600 hours of footage. The Leflers told KRTV they are looking to "showcase the history, cultural significance and legacy of the iconic Going-to-the-Sun Road" with this documentary.

Journey To The Sun will spotlight the legacy of this innate piece of Montana that we call the Going-To-The-Sun road.
“Connecting to the landscape, to each other, to the history, like when you’re in Glacier and you drive that road, you feel all of that,” said Journey to the Sun Filmmaker Jordan Lefler--KRTV.
The Lefler Brothers Got Some Amazing Footage From The Road's Construction
I'm very excited to see the footage the Leflers obtained of the Going-To-The-Sun's construction back in the 1920's and 1930's. It's something I can't wait to see. I have to say with the amount of times I've been on that road, I've never once considered how it came to be. I think a lot of people are that way.
The Leflers also interviewed everyone from tribal elders to historians and even snow plow drivers.
When Can You See Journey To The Sun?
