Great Falls Residents Have Great Options For Recycling Their Live Christmas Tree

Starting December 26, 2024 and running through January 9, 20225, The City of Great Falls offers a Christmas Tree recycling program. It's really cool, the recycled Christmas trees are either composted, or my favorite, they are used to enhance fish habitats. Isn't that neat?

Bring your live tree you'd like to recycle to Meadowlark Park on Fox Farm and Park Garden Road, or you can drop it off at the American Little League parking lot, 1100 38th Street North. There are recycling containers designated for Christmas trees at both drop off spots. There are no set hours, just a container at each location.
There Are Some Rules For Recycling Your Live Christmas Tree In Great Falls
- Lights, decorations and tree stands must be completely removed from the tree
- Flocked trees will not be taken
- Only live Christmas trees will be taken
