Not These! Montana Baby Name Advice For 2024
Statistics show that just under 12,000 babies are born every year under the big sky of Montana.
That's a lot of new people and a lot of new names.
Everyone Has A List Of The Most Popular Baby Names For The Year
I jumped on the baby name bandwagon this year and did 2 articles:

What Names To Avoid When Naming Your Baby In 2024
Baby Center wrote the article we all need: Baby names losing popularity in 2024. Sometimes, knowing what NOT to do is more powerful than knowing what to do. The same can be said when considering a name for your child.
As a Tammie, I'd like to throw in my opinion. Don't go for names like Tammie. There were literally 5 Tammie's in my graduating class at Great Falls High. If it's the most popular name of the year, I'd skip it unless your heart is just set on it. I despise having a popular name. So does my daughter, Taylor.
Now let's talk spelling. Let's use the name Tammie. You can spell it:
- Tammie
- Tami
- Tammi
- Tamy
- Tammy
- Tammee (I've only seen this once, thank god)
- Tammeigh (WHAT?)
- Tammey
The point I'd like to make is that even though I prefer MY spelling of Tammie, my teachers and other adults would argue with me how my name should be spelled (!) and I have never ever ever been able to buy anything pre-made with my name on it. It is always one of these 2 choices: Tammy (the one I hate most of all) or Tami (my second favorite). Either way you cut it, neither of those spellings are me. I'm Tammie.
Without further adieu, here are the names predicted to go extinct in 2024:
