Get this, I just read a story that said BozeAngeles is now a renters market instead of a landlord's market. I wish you could see my eyes rolling and head shaking back and forth.

One percenters. They're so silly.

Why Would ANYONE Call Bozeman A Renters Market?

Besides being wildly out of touch, there is a reason. A reason that makes me think, ba ha ha ha. Karma is a real bitch, isn't it?

Around 12% of the new apartments in BozeAngeles are sitting vacant.

Why is that?

Here are figures from one of the new complexes in Bozeman, The Annex.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that when you charge $1,715 a month to live in a studio apartment that rolls in at a whopping 505 square feet, Joe-I-Make-$3,000-A-Month-And-Have-A-Family-Of-5, can't swing that kind of rent AND where would they all go in that tiny place?

You're thinking Joe needs a bigger apartment for his family. Luckily, they have a 3 bedroom 2 bath available for the incredibly low low price of $2,500 a month for 1,265 square feet.

Sadly, if Joe takes one extra sick day in any month, he and his family will be evicted for non-payment of rent. Even with his whole salary, there isn't enough after taxes to pay for the apartment. Or gas, or utilities, or food. But who needs those things anyway?

Is This What Happens When Scrooge McDuck Tries To Move Into Town?

Rich one percenter guy: "Hey you guys everyone wants to live in Bozeman. Rich people are coming in in droves, and locals have no where to live. There's only one thing to do: Build over-priced apartment complexes and make people pay 50% of their income or more on them. What are they going to do? Live in a CAR in Montana? We. Will. Make. So. Much. Money."

In closing, a message to the one percenters that are trying to take over Montana:

The apartments are needed in Bozeman. Affordable apartments. Saying that Bozeman shouldn't build any more is like saying it's ok to never eat again. Eventually you. will. die.

Basically, you can build it, but no one is going to come if they can't afford it.

You can go back to counting your money now, silly one percenters.
