Why do I road trip? For all of the above, but especially the food. Come on, road trip food is awesome. Did you know there are no calories in road trip food? There's also no sugar, no carbs, nothing but yum. (The previous sentence may turn out to be a total lie. I found it on the internet.)
Where Is The Best Gas Station Food In Montana?
That's a loaded question. Do you like the hot cases? Are you a chips, jerky, candy person? Or, are you looking for a gas station restaurant? Me? I can do any of those, but I especially like a gas station restaurant if I have the time.
Back until 2018 or so, MY favorite gas station restaurant was in Shelby when you first get into town. It was in the Town Pump. I loved it so much because they had a great breakfast, and they were open all the time. Many nights after I got the bar locked down, I'd head to Shelby with a friend for some good grub after a long night slinging beers. Sadly, that place is gone.

The Best Gas Station Food In Montana Is:
Huck's Grill in Saint Regis. Everywhere I looked, this is the restaurant that came out on top.
Huck's Grill is in the Saint Regis Travel Center. See their menu by clicking here. Looking on Yelp, they have mostly RAVE reviews, especially for their Huckleberry shakes. Oh boy, that sure tugs at this girl's taste buds.
So when you are contemplating your next road trip, maybe plan on Saint Regis for some good ole' Montana YUM.
