What Does The Internet Think of Great Falls?

We all have love for our hometown here in Great Falls. It has the same bumps in the road like any other town in the US or the world. We are making improvements as a city and as people collectively all of the time.

This is a great place to live, learn, and raise a family. It's fairly quiet around here and there lots of history behind everything.

I was looking around on Reddit and found a post on the r/Montana page asking what kind of reputation Great Falls, Montana has as a city. As a person that actually lives here, it;s quite interesting to read what past residents, travelers and citizens of our city have to say about the Electric City.

What kind of reputation does the town of Great Falls have, Montana have?

You find the usual talk about drug problems, violence, and political stances, However I saw that many people had a lot of nice things to say about our town.

Canadians passing through grabbing a delicious coffee, seeing the world famous mermaids, to dining on the fine cuisine.

Comments also include the low cost of living in Great Falls as well as the friendly neighborhoods people live in making it a great place to raise a family.  In fact, I have family that are thankful they raised their family here, this town provided a great place to grow up and has great schools.

People also have the idea that this is a great place to retire, I'll quote from comments from the post.

Great Falls' biggest export is 20-30 year olds and it's biggest import is people 60+.

I'll admit I moved away for a bit and moved back thinking the same thing only moving to Missoula, it provided a different perspective before I moved back.
