Today, May 15, 2025, Walmart told the world that they will be forced to raise prices on goods.

Walmart, who negotiates some of the best prices in the world because of their size, can't absorb a 30 percent tariff on Chinese goods.

Honestly, who could? Don't get me wrong, I'm not a cheerleader for the Walton family. However, I am a cheerleader for my fellow Montanans who can only afford to shop at Walmart.

A Tariff Is A Tax, You Know That, Right?

I don't know if you've heard this story, but bear with me.

Way way way back in the day, there were some settlers that lived on the coast of the Americas that got so sick and tired of the insane TARIFFS on their beloved tea, they tossed it all into the harbor and essentially broke free from their overlords in Europe. Then, there was a war, and the tea tossers won. Then, there was a United States Of America.
