Montanans: Beware Of These Prime Day Scams
Today, my phone has been buzzing to announce the once in a lifetime deals for Amazon Prime days, Walmart days, Target days, Best Buy days, etc. Then I thought, how many of these alerts are attached to scams?
When there are good deals all around, like Prime days, Black Friday and Cyber Monday, the scammers come out of the woodwork.

Here Are Scams To Watch For According To PC World
First rule of thumb, no matter what the message, go to the app or website to reply to the message. Never click on links that are inside of messages.
- Membership scams. Now days most places offer some kind of deal to join their membership club. Never ever click on a link that tells you there's a problem with your membership account
- Fake confirmation/problem text or email. This is basically trying to get you to click on a link for an order you never placed. Again, never click on anything inside a text or email
- Fake listings. These are fake sites that you can spot because their prices are just too low to be real. Never click on anything inside a text or email
- Package delivery scams. This one happens to me almost every week. You get a text about some package and the problem they're having getting it to you. One more time, never click on anything inside an email or text
How To Avoid Being Scammed
This is my personal opinion, but never ever engage with them on the phone. They're trained to invoke fear or anger. Don't let them.

Always live by this rule: Never click on a link that is inside an email or text. I've mentioned it before, I know. It's just the number one way to protect yourself. GO TO THEIR WEBSITE. Never click on a link.
