It’s Kalispell’s Most Famous Resident: Rocky The Rock Snake
If you happen to be taking a walk along the Parkline Trail in Kalispell, you just might come across Rocky the Rock Snake.
Rocky The Rock Snake Is Completely Harmless
You don't need to wear your boots to be safe on this walk. This rock snake is made up of colorful painted rocks.
Rocky the Rock Snake is a labor of love started by Madilynn Anderson, 7, and her grandma, Bilynda Jassman because Madilynn loves art and making people smile.
Rocky Just Keeps Growing and Growing
The children in Kalispell have added many painted rocks to Rocky's body, and residents enjoy watching him grow as they walk the Parkline Trail.
Rocky Has Been Tampered With A Time Or Two
In the early days of Rocky the Rock Snake his body was stolen. As sad as that made Madilynn and her grandma, the goodness of people won out, and Rocky the Rock Snake was returned.
Now, someone has taken Rocky the Rock Snake's head. Madilynn and her grandmother have high hopes of that person returning the rock to it's proper place.
How Long Does Madilynn Plan On Expanding Rocky?
Forever. That's also how long Madilynn said she will love Rocky the Rock Snake.
Can Anyone Add A Rock?
You bet. That's the fun of having a painted rock snake in your community. It ties everyone together and brings lots of smiles.
Let's Get Rocky The Rock Snake's Head Back Where It Belongs
Someone, somewhere has Rocky's head. This snake was started by a child. Put it back, please.
