Opinion: 10 Commandments In Montana Schools?
- Senate Bill 114 passes along party lines in Montana on Friday, January 31, 2025
- Senate Bill 114 wants an 11x14 poster or a framed picture of The 10 Commandments in each classroom
There's Something Unholy Going On In Montana
What in the name of the constitution of Montana (and the United States) is going on in Helena?
I read that a bunch of religious zealots that were elected into office in Montana last November decided to pretend they were in Texas on Friday, January 31, 2025.
These fake Montanans passed a bill to require the 10 Commandments on display in every classroom in Montana.
Never mind that every religion doesn't use the 10 commandments.
Never mind that you're going against everything Montana and America stand for.
Never mind that GOD wouldn't force you to believe in him.
Why Did I Call Our Elected Officials Fake Montanans?
Because they haven't read the constitution of Montana or know the Montana way of life.
The Montana way of life: Do your thing, if it doesn't hurt me or mine I DON'T CARE. I, in turn, will do the same because real Montanans DON'T INTERFERE WITH PERSONAL STUFF.
(Freedom OF religion is freedom FROM religion.)
The Montana Constitution: "In Montana, federal precedents and state laws guide public education. The Montana Constitution echoes the US Constitutions First Amendment. It protects the free exercise of religion while preventing the state's establishment of religion.
Students in Montana public schools can engage in personal religious practices. This can include prayer or reading religious materials during free reading time. The school district and its employees cannot endorse a religion or lead those activities during the school day or at school-sponsored events, but they can begin the day with prayer."--Find Law
The 10 Commandments Are NOT In Every Religion
Although they're a great idea, they are NOT a part of every religion. All the research I did said that the commandments are central to the Abrahamic faith of the west like Christianity, Judaism, and Islam. And FYI: They're a tish different for each faith. Click here. See for yourself.
Basically, by promoting the 10 Commandments in every classroom, Montana is choosing a religion. That is against everything we stand for.
I find it revolting that religious zealots have decided what's good for them, is good for everyone.
If we all thought that way, they'd all have been murdered in the 1600's. Just saying. If you weren't Catholic, you were killed. A lot of the reason all the different religions CAME TO AMERICA in the first place.
Montana, is this what you were voting for, really? Really?
