If Someone Were Moving To Great Falls, What Should They See First?
Sleep Like A Star In Charley Pride's Great Falls House
I ran into this today at work.
Townsquare Media in Great Falls has a new announcer starting soon. He was heading out for the day, and asked me this:
"What should I see while I'm in town?" or something very close.
Without thinking, I wrote down the bullet points you see above.
Giant Springs, Gibson Park, 10th Avenue South, and follow the blue signs.
What an announcer needs to know first may be different than other jobs. New Guy will be writing articles such as this one and be an announcer on 2 of our stations here in Great Falls. Knowing the town you're in is crucial to being successful as an air personality.
What Would You Tell Someone To See If They Only Had A Day In Great Falls?
It got me thinking, did I tell him the right things to see? Should I have maybe sent him to see something else? Should I have told him our history with Charlie Russell?
If someone new to work were in town for a day to get a house, what would you suggest they see? I think I did alright for New Guy only having a day to check out Great Falls.

I recognize that as I write this, I did not tell New Guy that he should see the, um, Great Falls of the Missouri or who named them. Maybe I didn't nail it.
Dang it. Hit me up in App chat and let me know what I missed.
