Montana Mermaids… BOLO
Some of us know there are MerPeople in Montana... But did you know you could actually be one? That's correct; the World Famous Sip 'n Dip Lounge is Hiring
But before you think this is all fun and games, being a MERperson is hard!
Each tail weighs between 10 - 15 pounds. You won't be allowed to use your feet because they’re IN THE TAIL You'll be a mermaid,.. you don't have feet. You'll be expected to swim several times a week. (think arm strength)
Here is the Employment Ad I found on FB.
Attention all Mermaids! We're looking to hire Mermaids! Apply online at https://sipndipmusicbar.com/#application or in person at the O'Haire Inn front desk! Must be a good swimmer, available evenings, and the 1st and 3rd Sunday Brunch hours! Please apply by January 8th! Interviews will be scheduled! Oh, and we're equal opportunity, if you are interested in swimming as a Merman, please apply as well! Email questions to omi@mcn.net
As a longtime resident of Great Falls, I always try to take my visiting guests to see the mermaids. After all, they don't call 'em "World Famous" for nothin'!
A large fish-bowl tip jar stands behind the bar for customers who want their picture taken with the MerFolks. Ahhh, that's another thing - the FISHBOWL - you should really try one. Keep in mind, fishbowls are meant to be shared. They're big, so enjoy with caution & friends. Make new friends if you need to ~ haha
Not everyone can become a Sip n’ Dip Mermaid or Merman. Ya gotta know how to swim! Can you smile underwater? Can you blow bubbles?
If you think you're fish enough & have what it takes, complete an application, go through the interview process and then be prepared to get in the pool. This job isn't about looks. You can be short, tall, old, young, heavy or thin. Tails are custom made. It’s really about having fun when you're swimming. Here's a tip: If you have to hold your nose underwater - BUZZZ - no job for you.
