Living in Montana, what do you think our chances are of surviving the Zombie Apocalypse?  This question has been heavy on my mind lately, so I thought I'd do some research and see how Montana fares.  I checked out Insuranks and Cabletv.  Turns out, we were solidly in the top ten for BEST chance to survival.

Some people believe a Zombie Apocalypse is eminent

You.gov says that one in ten Americans, or 14 percent have an actual Zombie Apocalypse plan.  When they were asked WHAT their plan was, the #1 answer was to stockpile guns.  Of course it was;  This is America, afterall.  Then they would find a safe location to stay and start stockpiling other things needed for survival, like FOOD.

Personal note, you know what I never see on these survival lists?  Seeds.  Why in the world would you not stockpile seeds if doom is just around the corner?

How do you kill a zombie?

While there are a lot of folks guessing, the real truth is, NOBODY KNOWS HOW TO KILL A ZOMBIE.  Know why?  WE'VE NEVER HAD TO KILL ZOMBIES.  It's like how we can't just rely on Marvel or Doctor Who to tell us how time travel works.  NOBODY KNOWS.    If you say you know, I don't want you on my Zombie Apocalypse Survival team.  There's no room for best guesses and arguing when the dead are closing in.

Where is the best place to live in the Zombie Apocalypse?

All the lists are different, so I'm going to highlight the states that made both lists:

Montana, North Dakota, and South Dakota.

There you have it!  We're in good shape to survive.  You grab the guns, I'll grab the seeds and we'll go find a great hideout together and get it all stocked up.

If a Zombie Apocalypse Happened, Would You Be Prepared?
