• As of May 23, 2025 Montana has 11 reported cases of the Measles
• Measles can stay on surfaces or linger in a room for up to 2 hours

Measles Is Spreading All Over America

The measles, a disease once eradicated in America, is rearing it's ugly head once again.

How can a disease make a comeback? That's easy. Quit getting vaccinated. It took what, 20 or so years, but now it's back and better than ever because now, antivaxxers don't take it seriously.

At least before measles was eradicated, there was a healthy respect for the deadly disease. Now, people are happy to let their children unnecessarily experience the horrors of the measles, even if they die.

I think it's important to note that most people who have chosen to leave their children vulnerable to disease are, themselves, vaccinated.

Sure, some of the people are now better after self isolating, but that doesn't mean the measles is done with Montana.

The latest case has been reported in Gallatin County on Friday, May 23, 2025. The adult is self isolating.

I wonder how many people they infected before they knew they were sick?

• You can get measles just by walking into a room up to 2 hours after the infected person has left
• A sick person can spread measles before they show symptoms, up to 4 days before a rash begins and 4 days after the rash
• One dose of the MMR vaccine gives 93% protection from the measles, the second dose, 97%
