There Is A Recall On Lays Potato Chips
Just in time to wreak havoc on snacking for the holidays, Lays has announced a recall on their Classic chip, 13 ounce bags. If you have a milk allergy, be careful.
From the Food and Drug Administration website:
Frito-Lay today (12/16/24) issued a recall of a limited number of 13 oz. bags of Lay’s Classic Potato Chips that may contain undeclared milk, after being alerted through a consumer contact. Those with an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk run the risk of a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume the recalled product.
These Chips Were NOT Sold In Montana But...
With the holidays in full swing and friends and relatives coming to visit from all over the place, it's good to know what to look out for.
DANGER: Never Burn These In Your Fireplace
These chips were sold in Oregon and Washington. It is only affecting the Classic Chips in the 13 ounce size. Look for this on the labels:
No Illnesses Have Been Reported
As of the date of writing, there have been no illnesses reported due to the milk contamination suspected in the Lays Classic Chips and no other sizes, flavors or Lays variety packs have been affected.
