Kayem Foods Inc. Recalls Ready-To-Eat Chicken Sausage

From the USDA:

Kayem Foods is recalling about 24,173 pounds of chicken sausage products due to a possibility of contamination with foreign products.

11-oz. vacuum-packed packages containing four pieces of “ALL NATURAL al fresco CHICKEN SAUSAGE SWEET APPLE with Vermont made syrup” with lot code “179” and “USE/FRZ BY” date “OCT 01 2025” printed on the back package label.--USDA

They also have an establishment number P-7839 inside of the USDA inspection mark.

There Have Been No Injuries From The Kayam Chicken Sausage

The contamination was found after 3 complaints from consumers that there were white pieces of plastic in the chicken sausage.

There have been no injuries from the sausage as of writing. USDA encourages you to see your doctor if you're worried that you ate plastic from the chicken sausages.

They were sent to retailers all across the United States of America.

What Do I Do If I Have This Sausage In My Home?

The USDA recommends that you DO NOT eat the chicken sausages. They suggest to throw them away in the garbage or return them to the retail store that you purchased them from.
