Downtown Great Falls Will Be A Little Less Cozy Come The End Of December
On Facebook this weekend, I saw some sad news. Not cry sad, but sad for myself sad and happy for them sad.

Just what am I talking about?
Feather Your Nest In Downtown Great Falls Is Closing
From The Electric, the owner of Feather Your Nest has sold the building. If you hit this link, you'll see the heart-felt message from the owner, Kandy Zanto. Turns out Kandy is retiring and ready for the next big adventure in her life. The building has been sold to Shari and Mike Schmidt.
I've Always Loved Their Storefront And Window Displays
I mean come on, look at this:
And let's talk about this antique store and more. There have been many weekends I pop into Feather Your Nest just to look around. It's one of my favorite places to go and just peruse. I'd always find new, unique things. I'm really going to miss that.
Can We Talk About Their Old-Timey Window Displays
I love how Feather Your Nest embraced the store front scenes from back in the day (And left Beckman's in the sidewalk). Growing up around Great Falls, Central Avenue used to be loaded with stores with window displays like this. (That's where we get the term window shopping.) It was so fun to walk up and down Central picking out your favorite things and daydreaming about them.
Best of luck to the new owners, and here's hoping your retirement is wonderful, Mrs. Zanto. Thank you for the fun memories.
