What do you need to store in your refrigerator?
Sure there are cold drinks, last nights supper, a hundred condiments, and all the produce that you plan on using throughout the week. There's an amazing array of things one can keep in the fridge we perceive as needed to be in there.
I was thinking about all the things people put in there for a cold safe keeping and wondered what is actually needed and what can simply be put in the cupboard out of the light.
I've seen online video content of people debunking certain myths on what stays in the fridge and I've had some debate with my wife on what goes in there and stays out. I only have that debate because I worked in the restaurant business for many years and saw things sit out during open hours and seem okay, city county health seems to not bat an eye to this.
I know people that will bring the butter in and out of the fridge having difficulty using it while I keep it out of the fridge, covered to have a nice spread. My college roommate swears by putting the peanut butter in the fridge not for safety, but for texture. People also saying batteries are better in the fridge, I'm not buying that on account of all the condensation.
I was looking at reddit and people were asking what doesn't belong belong in the fridge. They had a few really great point and others just said that car keys, remotes, and children didn't belong in the fridge. I tend to agree.
