Great Falls Community Police Foundation in Need of New Members
As our city commissioners ponder our next budget for the fiscal year of 2027, most heads of departments will also be pondering their own once allocations are designated. In some cases, those allotments might not cover extra items a department needs.
Foundations across Great Falls help in those instances, like the Great Falls Police Community Foundation. Their board is looking for new members, and it could be a chance to help our law enforcement with the tools they need not covered by the budget.
Great Falls Community Police Foundation in Need of New Members
The Great Falls Police Community Foundation has been helping support the Great Falls Police Department for the past 12 years. In that time, the group has raised over $450,000 dollars to help fund requests.

Recent acquisitions for the GFPD by the foundation include:
- Cellebrite cell phone downloader
- Crime scene digital camera
- Tasers for each on-duty officer
- 3D crime scene laser scanner
- Trauma kits for each patrol vehicle
- Honor Guard formal uniforms
- Level IV Ballistic Plate Carriers
- Gas masks/shields for High-Risk Unit
Get Involved Now with the Great Falls Police Community Foundation
The foundation is currently "looking for individuals that can spend one evening a month at our meetings, as well as contribute to the success of our fundraising Gala held each spring" according to their social media page.
The group asks that interested individuals to please submit a letter of interest to gfpdcfoundation@gmail.com as soon as possible for consideration. The group will meet to review applications on August 26th, 2026, and choose new members.
