Choteau Public Schools Rally Town for Student Hurt in Accident

It sometimes hits me like a brick wall; the old adage of "it takes a village" and just how much it plays into our everyday lives.  In Montana, it's more than just an adage, it is a way of life.  Helping one another seems natural in our state.

The awesome part of that generosity is that it isn't limited to just one area, nor does it rely on population.  Small town to big town, when something needs done, people rally for the cause.  Choteau Public Schools are asking the public rally for one of their own and hold true to its taking a village to do so.

Choteau Public Schools Rally Town for Student Hurt in Accident

Through the Choteau Public Schools social media page this past weekend (August 1, 2026) a student had been involved in a horrific car accident.  The student survived and was stabilized but was required to be flown to a hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah.

As the student receives continued medical care, the schools are asking the public to help support the family during the unexpected emergency.

How to Help Student Involved in Car Accident Through Choteau Public Schools

The Choteau Public Schools stated that as more information is available about the condition of the student, future fundraising could occur for bills incurred during his hospitalization.

To help, the schools are asking for donations through Venmo, available to scan here.  The school also said that anyone can "contribute gift cards or other items to help the family during this time, they may be dropped off at the school".
