Stores In Great Falls That Will Be Closed Thanksgiving Day
Thanksgiving and Black Friday changed forever when the pandemic hit.
Pre-pandemic:
Thanksgiving used to be a day when the really serious Christmas shopper hit the stores and saved a bucket load of cash. In exchange for saving that cash, there were long lines, arguments, no parking and definitely, no taking a nap after Thanksgiving dinner. That's when it all got started. If you were going to get that $20 80 inch Big Screen TV, you'd better be in line an hour or so before the store opened.
Post-pandemic
We were all forced to stay at home nearly all the time. The thought of going in to a crowd where you were shoulder to shoulder with a stranger to get a $5 crockpot were forever changed. Stores closed on Thanksgiving for the first time in forever.
Thanks Giving Shopping and Black Friday Moved On Line
In fact, last year, I did ALL of my black Friday shopping on line.
Store owners and managers saw how happy their employees were to be at home with their families. Black Friday on line raked in the dollars. Life is changed, once again.
