Dress To Repel Mosquitos With These Colorful Wardrobe Tips
A couple of weeks ago, I was at my step-daughter's house in Ohio. We spent a large amount of time in her backyard. You would not BELIEVE how ferocious the mosquito attacks were.
There Are Tricks To Keeping Mosquitos At Bay
It got me wondering what could be done to cut that down. In addition to plants you can have in your yard that mosquitos don't like and making sure you don't have standing water anywhere, you can also stave off mosquito attacks by the color of clothing you wear.

You read that right, mosquitos apparently have a few colors that are their favorite for meal time. From the University of Washington:

Black. My favorite color, and apparently a favorite of the blood sucking mosquito.
This color is called Cyan, looks Teal to me, but Cyan it is.

And finally, if you want to avoid mosquito bites, it's a good idea to avoid the color red.
What Colors Do Mosquitos Stay Away From?
This is also good to know. There are four colors that mosquitos tend to shy away from, so we may want to make them a bigger part of our summer wardrobe.
They are:
White. Good ole' fashioned white.
Purple is not at all appealing to the blood sucking mosquito.
Sport a blue shirt if you want a little more help keeping mosquitos away.
And the final color that mosquitos shy away from is green.
