Two Weeks Left Of Montanan's Regular High School Football Season

The AA football regular season is down to the last two weeks of competition, and the moldy oldie cliché of must win  is very much in play.

Every high school athlete strives for success.  A benchmark of that dream is to compete for a championship at the end of the season and be part of a winning team that stands at the top. Football is a sport that requires the physical gifts and the inner personal drive to be a Contributor to the teams destiny but the life fact remains that not everyone will have that experience. There are plenty of also-rans cluttering the highway to the top.

The Bison and the Rustlers each met defeat last weekend, dampening their chances of post season play. Each team will be focused on a must win situation these next two weeks.

CMR Takes The Fight On The Road

Friday CMR goes on the road to Billings to take on the Broncs of Senior High,
CMR comes in at 1-4 while Senior sports a 2-5 record.  Senior has passed for 1039 yards  And run for 888 yards with one back, Rosas, recording 700 of that yardage. There is one receiver that has accounted for over 50% of the yards through the air. Stopping those two athletes could spell a win for CMR.

Great Falls High Fights At Home

The Bison at 3-4 will host the 2-5 Skyview Falcons.  Coach. Tchida will again force the run game to control the line and the clock, Isayah Brown, and  Ryder English will get plenty of yards in the contest that hopefully translate to scores.
Let's give the Bison a W and move on to what could be a deal breaker for the loser of the next game. Now with two assumed wins for our squads, how about we talk about that game on the 20th, that will be the crosstown contest.
A win this week, and a crosstown win and you're in the playoffs. Whoever comes out on the short end can pack up their gear and pick up their basketball uniforms and move on.
That's the formula to get to the playoffs. Each team has a path to the postseason: Win then Win again!!
Let's go Rustlers

Roll 'em Herd.

Catch The Bison at home, 7 pm Friday, 10/13/23 on 99.9 Big Sky Sports or on the Big Sky Sports App.
