Will Tariffs Spark A Home Canning Revival In Big Sky Country?
The other day I was shopping with my 80 year old mom, and we came across canning supplies. I'm talking jars, lids, caps, things like that. Mom says to me, "This sure doesn't happen too much anymore.", and she's right.

Do Americans Go Back To Canning Their Own Food?
Growing up, my mom and I spent most of August canning on the farm. We would get tons and tons of veggies from the Hutterites. It's not my favorite thing to eat from a can, but it really beats going hungry.
It's not hard to can. However, it is time consuming and a tad dangerous. However, if the price of a can of tomatoes sits at a couple of bucks, it may be time to get out the old canning apron.
What do you think? Is canning about to make a comeback? You tell me after you see the 14 canned foods expected to go up in price this year.
