Recently, I experienced one of the greater joys of adult life, a new dishwasher.

I'm a renter that happens to have THE BEST landlords anyone could ask for.  When they couldn't figure out why the dishwasher didn't drain, they installed a new one.

Can I just take a minute to say how amazing and rare it is to have landlords that really truly care about the property I rent, and are ready for almost any emergency?  Believe me, I know how rare it is.  And they didn't just have the cheapest one available (Which is fine, by the way.), they had a REALLY nice one that was stainless steel to match the other appliances in the kitchen.  I know it doesn't seem like a big deal, but that really mattered to me.

So, I popped home after work to check out the new dishwasher, and I was amazed by this:

Just LOOK at it!  A bonus shelf in the dishwasher just for extra utensils!  What is this adulty wizardry?  I've been waiting for this shelf my entire life.  I know it SAYS utensils, but I plan to use it for cooking utensils as well.  The space that will be saved is huge!

Yes, I'm sure these dishwashers have been around for awhile.  Heck, you probably have one in your home.  When I sent the above picture to Nick Northern, he lamented that he has one in his dishwasher and uses it all the time.

For me, this is like stepping into a wonderous Sci-Fi show where they have all the stuff and things to make life a breeze.

Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk.
