The 25-car train derailment in Montana has made national news. A popular late-night talk show host recently highlighted the incident and cracked a few jokes about it.

Crews continue to clean up near the site of a train derailment near Paradise, Montana that spilled hundreds of cases of beer into the Clark Fork River. The train was owned by Montana Rail Link. The train derailment was highlighted during a monologue Monday night on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.

Over the weekend, hundreds of cases of beer spilled on a Montana train derailment. Well, guess we were due, The rule is, for every 10 train derailments, we get a fun one. The train spilled hundreds of cases of beer into a local river, including a whole bunch of Coors Light, but, authorities say the water is fine, and so is the river.


Fast-forward to the '1:47' mark to watch the part about the train derailment.

According to state officials, there were no hazardous materials that spilled into the river. The spill consisted of organic materials including clay, canned foods, and beer. No injuries have been reported. For more details about the derailment, click here.

Crews will continue to clean up the wreckage in the following days and weeks, and MRL plans to rebuild the track.
