Loads of people are moving to Montana every day.  Where in Montana to move can be a very big question.  I'm here to help.  I have put together a list of reasons to avoid moving to Great Falls at all costs.

Why Stay Away From Great Falls?

  1. The music scene is almost too much.  Not only can you find live music from awesome bands nearly every night of the week here, The Newberry has taken the concert scene to the next level.  Plus, concerts nearly every night at the Montana State Fair that is also held here in Great Falls.  Honestly, there are just too many concerts here now.
  2. You can never just sit at home because "there's nothing to do here."  The limitless outdoor recreation opportunities in and around Great Falls are almost exhausting to think about.
  3. There are way too many world-class parks in our tiny little central Montana town.  You can't throw a stick without hitting a park here in Great Falls.
  4. Museums.  Great Falls has become "the museum capitol" of Montana. In addition to Western Art Week, you'll be surrounded by art everywhere you go in town.  The mural game alone is intimidating.
  5. There's just too much happening downtown.  Ever since Great Falls decided to have a downtown to rival all other downtowns, there is just event after event after event offered for both adults and children.  Again, if you like to just huddle at home, our town is not for you.

  1. The Craft Beer culture here is extreme.  There are 5 breweries just in Great Falls and the surrounding area, PLUS we host a craft beer week every year.  Again, Great Falls is surrounded by really cool people and unique experiences making it impossible to just sit and veg out.
  2. It's hard not to mention the endless opportunities to ski just in the Great Falls area.  It's nearly maddening that if you go one direction, you can ski Showdown, another, Teton Pass and another, the Great Divide.  Plus, we're in the center of the state, so you're hours away from even MORE world-class skiing.
  3. Jobs are plentiful here, so you probably won't be on unemployment for long enough to even draw 2 checks once you put your feelers out.
  4. If you like chain stores and restaurants, Great Falls is not for you.  We have a town full of small businesses that offer unique items and a lot of different locally owned restaurants.
  5. Golf, baseball and the Missouri.  Between the fishing and the River's Edge Trail, Voyagers games, our 4 golf courses, Giant Springs, and checking out the falls and their dams, you and your family will be busy adventuring every single day of the summer.

As you can see, Great Falls is to be avoided at all costs.  👇
