When there are circumstances beyond your control, just saddle up and keep on ridin'!

Ongoing construction at the Missoula Fairgrounds grandstand and event areas has caused a needed change to the venue for the University of Montana Rodeo Team's annual Spring Rodeo. Hopefully the tremendous support the rodeo has enjoyed the last few years will continue, and maybe gain added fans down the highway.

This year's UM Spring Rodeo is scheduled to be held Friday and Saturday, April 26-27, at the Ravalli County Fairgrounds in Hamilton. Performances get underway at 7:00 both evenings.

The UM rodeo is the last stop on the Big Sky Regional Rodeo Circuit. Montana's men's and women's teams will be competing against 9 other schools across the Big Sky Region. Teams are vying for a chance to qualify for the College National Finals Rodeo in Casper, Wyoming. Action-packed events include:

Bareback Riding

Saddle Bronc Riding

Steer Wrestling

Tie Down Roping

Team Roping

Barrel Racing

Breakaway Roping

Goat Tying

Adult tickets are $15 in advance, slightly higher at the gate, with lower prices for students and online purchases. There is also a discount QR code you can scan to save. For all the details, ticket pricing, you can visit this page of the UM Rodeo Team's website. If you need any further information, you can contact Dee Dee Gianchetta, Current President, Grizzly Rodeo Association: ddgianchetta@gmail.com.

Good luck to all the talented young cowboys and cowgirls competing in this big event!
