Montana Cat Owners Need to Be Aware of Recall
If you are a Montana cat owner and have been hearing of a certain recall making the rounds of the internet, you probably had a few concerns for your pets. And rightly so, I mean, they are our furbabies after all.
However, if you are a fan of the raw food diet for your feline friends, a newly announced recall regarding food available at popular stores and online could be compromised.
Recall in California Separate from New Recall in Pacific Northwest and Montana
Just last month in December a recall was issued for raw cat food being sold at farmer's markets in California. But late last month, a new voluntary recall was announced through the Northwest Naturals website.

The frozen raw food packages have been recalled after it tested positive for the highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) virus.
How To Check Your Pet Food for UPC Symbols in Montana
If you have concerns about your pet and this particular recall, these are the codes to look for when checking your product:
- The recalled product is packaged in 2-pound plastic bags with “Best if used by” dates of 05/21/26 B10 and 06/23/2026 B1.

Northwest Naturals states that individuals that have purchased the recalled product should immediately discard the product and contact the place of purchase for a full refund. Further details about the recall can be found here.
