Remember growing up and wanting to be grown up? You couldn't wait to be the boss of yourself. Have your own place. Do what you want. Eat whatever you wanted. These thoughts usually came right after you had a parent say something like "when you are an adult and out of this house, you can have whatever you want for dinner but until then, you eat what I cooked."

Well...Betty Crocker has given us cookies for breakfast. Cinnamon Toast Crunch cookies! I'm far that 10 year old little girl I used to be back in the 80's, but when I saw these on display at Walmart, I instantly said "oooh...cookies for breakfast. I need these."  Just one of the great perks of being an adult.

I have to admit that these cookies are pretty darn good.  Is there any bad cookies out there?  Cookies are good.  Some are better than others.  These are good.

I know there are a ton of recipes that require a certain type of cereal as an ingredient, but this was too easy.  Mix, bake, and frost.  Done.  Easy enough.  I just wish this was an option for me back in the day when the boys would let me know the night before that they needed 3 dozen cookies for school tomorrow!

Here is a recipe for those that like to bake from scratch.

And for those adults that would prefer to have their Cinnamon Toast Crunch in liquid form, check out this recipe.
