Website Literally Dedicated To Helping Californians Move To Montana
With the worldwide web as vast as it is these days, it shouldn't surprise me that there's a website dedicated to helping Californians move to Montana.
Well, believe it or not, there is!
Don't get me wrong, I have no problem with folks moving to Montana.
However, I do have a problem with people who move here and try to change everything that makes Montana what it is.
Here's what the website called ExitCalifornia.org has to say about the Treasure State.
The website starts by describing the picturesque landscape of Montana.
It talks about our wealth of natural resources and the history of the Wild West to build the image in readers' minds.
It also mentions that there is plenty of space in Montana, a statement that many of you probably disagree with.
Moving To Montana
Here's what the website gives for advice on moving to Montana.
- They say to move here during the spring or fall, not during the winter months. That seems like pretty solid advice to me. haha
- It also discusses construction projects and how they tend to take over the summer months. That's not far from the truth; road construction might as well be its own season here in Montana.
- They also suggest having a temporary rental lined up because Montana's housing market is challenging. I can't imagine why our housing market is so out of control.
- They did pick up on the fact that Montana has a lot of rodeos and festivals that could cause congestion when moving to a new town. They so folks moving from California avoid the traffic. You would think they would be used to it by now.
- The site also highlights that Montana is one of the least populated states in the country. It suggests planning accordingly for long distances.
This website breaks down a whole laundry list of other things related to moving to Montana from California.
Everything from the cost of living to education, and even when you can register to vote.
I highly encourage you to check out their website if you have time.
If nothing else, he'll get a good chuckle out of it; I know I did.
