Whether or not you were ever on board for the "war on drugs", one thing's for sure: drug dealers know no boundaries and don't care where they do business. All they care about is doing business.

What Is Fentanyl? Why Is Fentanyl Dangerous?

Before we dive into our law enforcement disrupting a fentanyl ring in Montana, we first have to understand: what is fentanyl?

According to the National Institute on Drug Abuse, fentanyl "is an opioid drug, like morphine or heroin." NIDA also says that there is nothing "natural" about the drug as it is 100% made in a lab. It's also extremely addictive which makes it that much more dangerous.

Montana Law Enforcement Has Been Cracking Down On Fentanyl

Great Falls police recently shared a post on Facebook highlighting their success in disrupting the fentanyl trade in Montana.

"Your drug cops have been hard at work!" the post read.

"In Cascade County, the Russell Country Drug Task Force, including members of Great Falls MT Police Department, Cascade County Sheriff/Coroner's Office, and state and federal agencies, work closely to combat illicit drugs."

They then shared the work they're doing and they weren't kidding... they've been BUSY.
