Obviously, my opinion is a bit biased, but I truly believe Great Falls is one of Montana's best-kept secrets.

But according to the latest tourism numbers, that secret appears to be getting out.

Great Falls Montana Tourism Information

According to Great Falls, Montana tourism, spending generated from tourism has increased by 143% over pre-pandemic numbers.

In 2023, 43% of travelers were here for business, 29% for a weekend getaway or vacation, and another 27% for conferences, meetings, education, and sporting events.

You may want to sit down for this; believe it or not, the Great Falls travel industry saw 1.8 million overnight visitors in 2023.

Of those 1.8 million visitors they spent a whopping $355 million within Cascade County.

81% of spending was in restaurants, retail shops, fueling stations, grocery stores, and lodging properties.

Pre Pandemic Travel

According to Great Falls, Montana tourism the travel industry in and around Great Falls has not yet fully recovered from the pandemic.

But judging from the recent numbers, things are definitely rebounding nicely.
