Montana is one of the most awe inspiring states in America so why anyone would want to toss bags of garbage along the side of the road is beyond me.
Thankfully if people do this and are caught there is a pretty good fine for illegally dumping their garbage in Montana.
It's also not just for those that toss bags of garbage on the side of the road, putting your garbage in other peoples trash cans cans also result in big fines.

How Much Is The Fine For Illegally Dumping In Montana?
If you are found to be in violation of Montana Code 75-10-212 you will be fined up to $500.
But you can get an even bigger fine according to Montana Code 75-10-233, which states:
(2) A person found absolutely liable under 75-10-212 is subject to a civil penalty not to exceed $5,000.
All officers and enforcement agencies of Montana, along with game wardens are able to enforce these codes, so keep that in mind the next time you think about tossing out some garbage.
