In May, Skip Walters, on of the best known voices in Great Falls radio for decades passed away.

One of the things that made him happiest, (besides his beautiful wife, Linda) was Daya, a dog they got from the Canine Companions Big Sky Chapter.

In honor of Skip, there is a raise a pint event at MT Pints coming up Thursday, July 21st from 6-9 p.m. This event will raise funds for his favorite charity, Canine Companions, Big Sky Chapter.  Canine Companions pair service dogs with the disabled to help everyone from children to veterans with disabilities to live more independently.

During the fundraiser, there will be 50/50 drawings hourly, special drinks, raffle tickets for themed prize baskets and live music from Steve Keller.

If there is any way you can make it to MT Pints Thursday, it would be amazing.  I think Skip would absolutely love that this is helping his favorite charity. I like the idea of getting together to talk about my awesome friend, Skip.  I can't even begin to tell you what a blow it is losing this guy.  He deserves to be remembered, and to be remembered properly.  This is a good start, and I'd love to see you there.
