Havre Police Department Investigating Suspicious Death

• First reports of a deceased person were first reported on May 7, 2025
• Havre Police discovered a deceased female at the residence
• Investigators are now calling the death suspicious and have opened an investigation

Havre Police Department Investigating Suspicious Death

In a press release announced through social media, the Havre, Montana Police Department has opened an investigation into a suspicious death within the city limits.

Officers were first alerted by a 911 call to dispatch on May 7, 2025, at 2:41pm reporting a deceased person at a residence.  Upon arrival, officers confirmed that there was a deceased female at the home.

Suspicious Circumstances Lead to Investigation in Havre

According to Havre Police, upon arrival officers discovered that circumstances at the scene were suspicious, leading to a determination of possible foul play in the death of the deceased woman.

The Department of Justice Division of Criminal Investigations were then called in to assist with the investigation.  Those investigators remain on the scene with Havre Police Department officers.

No Threat to Public in Havre or Montana at This Time

The Havre Police Department stated that at this time, there is no threat to the public in regard to the deceased female.  Rumors, however, have begun through social media.  Havre Police wanted to assure the public that:
