On the evening of October 18, 2023, at approximately 8:40 PM, the Great Falls 911 dispatch center was inundated with multiple reports concerning a potential outbreak of gunfire within the 3000 block of 11th Ave S.

Law enforcement swiftly responded to the scene, unveiling a disconcerting sequence of events.

Upon thorough investigation, it was ascertained that a handgun had been discharged repeatedly following a disturbance.

The incident resulted in damage to a nearby residential structure, with multiple bullet impacts.

Fortunately, we can report that all individuals residing in the vicinity have been safely located, and there have been no reported injuries stemming from this unsettling incident.

In response to this incident, two juveniles have been apprehended.

A 17-year-old male from Missoula faces charges of Criminal Endangerment and Assault with a Weapon, both of which are categorized as felonies.

Additionally, a 16-year-old female from Great Falls is charged with Tampering with Evidence, also classified as a felony.

In the wake of the event, diligent efforts from patrol officers and detectives persisted throughout the night.

They meticulously processed evidence, ensuring a thorough examination of the scene.

As of now, the area is devoid of police personnel, and we want to reassure the community that there is no immediate threat to public safety.
