American Prairie is hoping to expand those opportunities for residents in the state today and for future generations to continue to be able to enjoy. With two new recent land purchases, even more lands will now be open to the public.

Alison Fox, CEO of American Prairie described the property as a great jumping off point for recreationists:
This property is an incredible area for hiking, biking, and wildlife viewing, and a great jumping off point to explore this part of the Missouri River Breaks.
American Prairie donated 109 acres of the area back to the Montana State Parks Foundation. Montana Fish Wildlife and Parks are currently developing plans for the newest state park. The new area would include "interpretive signage, day-use parking, bathrooms, and a small campground so visitors can enjoy the river corridor overnight."
