Keep an Eye Out for These New Historic Signs in Great Falls
With the history that has unfolded across the city of Great Falls, we are fortunate to have many of those iconic historic buildings, homes and landmarks still with us to view and to reflect upon. History such as the Vinegar Jones Cabin, or the Charlie Russell art studio he painted in for so many years.
But have you ever approached one of those iconic buildings in the Electric City and wondered about what the history of it was? Soon, new landmarks in the area will have new ways to inform local residents and travelers from afar with a generous grant to make it happen.

How These New Funds from Grants will be Used in Great Falls
For Paris Gibson Square, the grant money has been ear tagged to "improve the care of its art collection with continued cataloguing and storage. This project protects artworks, reduces risk, and expands public access through a new online portal". You can learn more about the Square here.
Grant money to the Great Falls Preservation Office will be used to "share local history in places where residents and visitors already gather in green spaces. The project will create and install engaging interpretive panels that highlight little-known stories, from Jack Dempsey's training grounds to Paris Gibson's experimental tree farm."
